Iris often suggests cool root, pale earth, white powder, cosmetics, or smooth fabric more than sweet petals. It may be rendered transparent or dense and butter-like. In perfumery, the effect may come from natural extracts, isolated molecules, synthetics, or a composed accord. Use in Perfumery
