Club Couture is a parfum from Valentino's Anatomy of Dreams line, built on an unlikely pairing: patchouli, a material with a long history in perfumery, and a juicy, lively fig accord. Rather than smoothing over the contrast, the scent lets it carry the drama.
It opens on three citrus materials — Bergamot Heart, bitter orange oil and mandarin oil — and the bitter orange keeps that brightness from turning thin. In the heart, the fig accord is layered with orange flower absolute and an orris accord, giving the green fruit a floral lift and a soft, powdery edge.
The base brings together cedarwood oil, Bali patchouli oil and musks. Valentino places it in the chypre fruity green family. True to a name that joins the club with the atelier, it reads as a night out dressed in something precisely cut.
