71/72
A Turnbull & Asser collaboration, with citrus and juniper, lavender, orris and oud, settling into woods and frankincense.
Perfumer: Penny Ellis
71/72 grew from a collaboration with English shirtmakers Turnbull & Asser. Its name is the address of their flagship on Jermyn Street, the same street as Floris. The fragrance responds to the understated character and careful craftsmanship shared by the two houses.
Mandarin and bergamot meet a crisp juniper lift. Lavender, jasmine, orris and oud lead towards sandalwood, boisamber and frankincense, giving the composition woody depth and a warmer finish. The aromatic brightness suggests something tailored, with room for a little individuality.
The partnership began in 2015, and Penny Ellis's fragrance appeared as a limited release in 2016. Initially hand-poured in small numbers, it later entered the Floris Private Collection following demand from customers.
