Legend Leather

Legend Leather began with one summer afternoon on a road in Madrid. Alberto Morillas was driving a classic car when several sensations arrived at once: the smell of supple leather, the sound of the engine, the feel of the steering wheel. The moment stayed with him as a kind of synaesthesia, with every sense running into the others.

At the top, aldehydes give a bright, taut lift beside smoky guaiac wood and resinous cistus labdanum. In the heart, smooth iris absolute meets the dry spice of saffron, and raspberry brings a note of fruit. Mizensir sees power and elegance in this saffron-tinged iris set against ambergris.

The base holds immortelle, styrax and ambergris. The hay-like sweetness of immortelle and the balsamic warmth of styrax outline the whole with a sensual density close to the skin. The family is leathery, and the aim is a balance of modern and iconic, strong and subtle. It suits someone who likes leather alongside light and fruit rather than leather alone.
