17 Nandan Road
Osmanthus framed by bright citrus, green leaves and a supple suede base.
Perfumer: Frank Voelkl
The name 17 nandan road comes from the address of Shanghai’s Guangqi Garden, where the brand places osmanthus in bloom in October. Green leaves, Sicilian lemon and bergamot open the fragrance with a crisp outline around its floral center. Osmanthus and iris sit at the heart: the flower’s fullness meets the softer, powdery texture suggested by iris. Cedar wood, suede, musk and Ambrox form a supple base, bringing dry wood and a smooth, close texture into the composition. The outer packaging takes its color from the osmanthus flower, carrying the idea behind the name into the object itself. Bright citrus, a layered floral heart and a gentle suede texture make this a fragrance to enjoy when you want freshness with some depth.
