Elixir de Musc

Elixir de Musc begins with the image of skin resting in the first light of morning. Alberto Morillas imagined a powdery, enveloping elixir of musks that one might dream of falling asleep wearing, giving the musky woody composition its setting.

There are no top notes. The composition moves directly into a heart of iris concrete, Limbanol and Habanolide. The powdery texture of iris meets the warmth of musk and the depth of wood, bringing several soft and woody expressions together at its centre.

Heliotrope, Muscenone and Cetalox form the base. Heliotrope contributes a softer sweetness, accompanied by the musk character of Muscenone and the amber-like presence of Cetalox. Habanolide and Muscenone are used to create what the house describes as a “second skin” effect, a musky impression close to the wearer.

Limbanol adds woody-amber depth within the softer powdery texture. Presented as a 100ml eau de parfum, the fragrance is pictured as a scented cocoon. The imagined scene of rest gives a setting to the warmth of musk and iris.
