Moccus takes its inspiration from the Chinese Zodiac Year of the Pig. Composed by Christian Provenzano, it centres on the unusual meeting of juniper and orris, placing a fresh aromatic character beside a softer powdery texture.

Juniper berries, Bulgarian lavender and black pepper open the composition. The pine-like juniper impression meets lavender's herbal character and a sharper peppery edge. Orris expands in the heart, accompanied by the bitter greenness of violet leaf and the warmth of cashmere wood.

The house describes the preparation of orris through the slow drying of harvested iris rhizomes in darkness. It connects that time with the material's distinctive powdered character. Within the fragrance, the softer orris texture contrasts with a deeper resinous expression.

Benzoin, cistus labdanum, tonka beans and vanilla form the listed base. Leathery resin tones mingle with sweetness, giving a softly smoky finish. Patchouli, also identified among the house's power notes, contributes another darker texture around the central juniper and orris pairing.
