Erborista
An aromatic iris inspired by a monastery herb garden, with sage, lavender and rosemary set against incense, amber and cedar.
Perfumer: Anaïs Biguine
Erborista evokes the atmosphere of a monastery herb garden. At the center of an incense-filled cloister sits a quiet iris, and the composition leans toward freshly cut herbs and dry resin rather than floral sweetness.
The opening mixes the brightness of bergamot with the bitter greenness of sage and artemisia. It has the feel of bundled herbs, then eases into the cooler lift of lavender and rosemary.
Iris is the focal point. Its powdery, calm texture softens the edge of the herbs and gives the scent a quiet depth. Incense, amber and cedar form a dry base that suggests stone and timber.
It suits moments when you want the orderly air of herbs and resin more than a sweet floral.
