Amber Mandarin
Bitter-sweet green mandarin meets balsamic amber, with flowers and spice adding softer warmth to the citrus.
Perfumer: Miro Branimir Senjak
Amber Mandarin reinterprets 4711’s citrus origins through the warmer character of amber. Miro Branimir Senjak takes the history of the brand as his starting point, exploring the sharper character of unripe mandarin. The eau de parfum launched online in 2023, with specialist retail distribution following in 2024.
Italian green mandarin oil meets orange and pink pepper in a brighter opening. The juicier, more bitter citrus moves into black cardamom, iris and osmanthus absolute at the heart. Balsamic amber, patchouli and musk develop in the drydown, surrounding the sharper fruit with softer warmth. The greener character of mandarin gives that sweeter, more substantial setting a clearer contrast.
Try it as the afternoon light begins to change or when you choose knitwear in a brighter colour. The selected 100mL black Molanus bottle carries detailed relief decoration and a label framed and lettered in gold. Darker glass and warmer metallic light echo the contrast between citrus and amber.
