Mémoire du Futur
Vintage violet and rose meet bright aldehydes, with powdery flowers over vanilla and labdanum.
Perfumer: Arnaud Poulain
Mémoire du Futur sets the perfumery of the past beside that of the future. Its imagery contrasts leather associated with old stills and violets imagined in augmented reality, while rose and modern aldehydes connect the two worlds. Arnaud Poulain created the eau de parfum, released in 2015.
Bergamot and aldehydes give the opening a bright, defined edge. Violet, carnation, rose and iris build the heart from powdery softness, floral depth and a gentle spicy quality. Vanilla and labdanum supply a rounded sweet, resinous base. Vintage floral associations are given both light and warmth around them.
The clear cylindrical 100mL bottle has a fine gold line across its label and a square black cap. It offers a thoughtful option for someone who enjoys powdery flowers, especially the meeting of rose and violet with a quiet resinous finish.
