Edition de Véronique
A floral named for Alberto Morillas's daughter, pairing infused rose and jasmine sambac with iris, cade and white musks.
Perfumer: Alberto Morillas
Edition de Véronique takes its name from Véronique, the cherished daughter of master perfumer Alberto Morillas. It is conceived as a father's gift to her: a bouquet of refined flowers and musks.
The top pairs infusions of centifolia rose and jasmine sambac. The flower essences are obtained by infusion, a traditional process. Sambac is described as closer to orange blossom and less animalic than grandiflorum jasmine, giving the rose a softer partner.
In the heart, iris absolute arrives as a surprising note, and cade essence adds a woody, smoky accent. Those drier shadows keep the two flowers from feeling purely sweet.
White musks and an amber wood accord form the base, prolonging the floral bouquet. The musks are tender and coating, discreet yet clearly present. It suits someone looking for a composed floral with a personal story behind its name.
