Estée Super Cologne
A bright floral bouquet with ylang-ylang, orris, woods and moss, carrying the same formula as the earlier Estée Eau de Parfum under a different name.
Estée Super Cologne carries the formula that was once sold as Estée Eau de Parfum, renamed but unchanged in composition. Jasmine, Rose, Muguet open the bouquet in clear bright strokes, drawing the outline of a classic floral before anything else moves.
In the heart, Coriander, Ylang-Ylang, Orris bring together cool seed, rich floral notes and powdery root, each tempering the next. The base settles on Sandalwood and Moss, letting a creamy wood and a quiet damp green hold the flowers in place through the dry-down.
The composition traces back to a moment at a party, where Mrs. Lauder had noticed the light from two crystal chandeliers shimmering in a glass of champagne and thought how wonderful it would be to capture that image in a fragrance. The original Estée, introduced in 1968, was her second fragrance, and the sparkle in the top accord still points to that image.
