Moss suggests damp greenery, earth, forest floor, shadow, and a velvety texture. A Moss Accord does not by itself confirm natural oakmoss and may compose the impression from several materials. In perfumery, the effect may come from natural extracts, isolated molecules, synthetics, or a composed accord. Extraction, dosage, and surrounding materials can change sweetness, dryness, temperature, and diffusion.

Use in Perfumery

It gives a chypre base humidity and shadow, grounding bright fruit and white flowers. It may leave post-rain stillness low in the structure rather than simply making it dark or heavy. Its relationship with flowers, fruits, woods, resins, and musks over time often matters more than the name alone.
