Elite
Citrus, cedar leaf and juniper lead to lavender and fir balsam, with deeper moss, wood and leather.
Perfumer: Michael Bodenham
Elite was created by Michael Bodenham in 1979, giving fresher greenery a more composed woody character. Its name recalls Lotion Elite, an aftershave cream appearing in the house’s 1851 catalogue. A smaller initial following gradually grew, with the fragrance becoming particularly established in Italy.
Bergamot, grapefruit and lemon meet the greener character of cedar leaf, juniper and petitgrain. Bay, fir balsam and lavender occupy the heart. Moss, cedar, patchouli and vetiver meet amber, musk and leather at the base, connecting a brighter citrus beginning with more grounded woody depth.
Consider it with more tailored everyday clothing when aromatic freshness should gain resinous and mossy depth. This Eau de Toilette has an illustrated 100mL presentation with rectangular clear glass, a gold cap, a deep-green label, green liquid and a thick transparent base.
