Scent Development and Character
Jubilation 40 Man amplifies the dark‑fruity chypre signature of Jubilation XXV into a denser, more resinous Exceptional Extrait. Blackberry and blackcurrant brighten a bitter‑aromatic opening of rosemary, labdanum, orange and davana, giving a tart, almost liqueur‑like sheen. As it settles, honeyed Scotch broom and a full incense accord unfold with cinnamon, clove, bay St Thomas and rose, creating a rich, balsamic heart that feels both smoky and golden. The drydown is thick with patchouli, cistus, opoponax, myrrh and a forest of cedarwood and guaiac, laid over moss, musk, ambergris and a measured oud, yielding a long‑lasting, velvety trail that fuses noble woods, resins and shadowy fruit.
Who It Is For and When to Wear It
The 40% Exceptional Extrait concentration makes Jubilation 40 Man best suited to cooler weather, formal wear and evening occasions, where its dense resins and woods can breathe without overwhelming. A controlled application delivers a regal masculine presence in business or ceremonial settings, while fuller wear suits black‑tie events, winter gatherings or contemplative moments. Its rich incense and fruity chypre structure can also appeal to experienced fragrance wearers of any gender seeking a luxurious, long‑lasting statement that evolves slowly over many hours. Best suited to autumn and winter, where its dense resins, incense and woods feel enveloping rather than heavy, with careful wear extending into cooler spring evenings and largely avoided in heat or humid summers. Sillage is Strong sillage: the fragrance projects confidently for several hours in a noticeable but controlled aura, then slowly settles closer to the skin while still leaving a distinct trail in cooler air. Longevity is Very long‑lasting: on most skins the 40% Exceptional Extrait concentration provides 10–14 hours or more, with the resinous base persisting into the next day on clothing. These are editorial estimates derived from the official composition and concentration and will vary with skin and climate.
