Notre-Dame 15.4.2019
Fire, water on stone and light entering a cathedral inspire woods and incense with citrus, herbs and flowers.
Notre-Dame 15.4.2019 takes the cathedral fire as its subject, looking beyond smoke to water running over stone and light entering through the opened roof. Supporting the people who preserve its sacred music forms part of the project’s purpose. Wood and incense meet citrus, herbs and softer flowers in this setting.
Patchouli, vetiver, mosses, precious woods, tonka, amber and sandalwood form the subject; lily of the valley, geranium and ambrette the counter-subject. Neroli, basil, coriander, ginger, iris, lemon, orange, bergamot, incense and galbanum form the tail, setting brighter leaves, citrus and flowers beside drier wood and warmer sweetness.
Consider it for the depth of wood and incense with greener and brighter textures. The rounded clear 100mL bottle reveals yellow liquid and a thick glass base. A large black cap evokes charred wood, with the name fixed to an irregular metal plate by nails.
