History

His LAVS atelier began in 2001 with the study, design and making of sacred vestments, liturgical furnishings and accessories, establishing a connection between clothing, ritual and artistic work. In 2014, the first fragrance of the UNUM collection paid tribute to that atelier, treating scent as another form of tailoring. Gothic art, photography, fog and music subsequently became subjects for fragrances, extending the creator’s interests into a medium experienced through smell as well as the object that carries it and its relationship with his continuing artistic and musical practice.

Philosophy & Signature Style

Its signature style uses incense, resins, leather, metallic textures, flowers, earth, smoke, and austere woods in dramatic compositions. The scents can suggest sacred spaces, bodily presence, silence, and tension at the same time.
