Symphonie-Passion
Vetiver, cedar and sandalwood soften with musk and Cashmeran, touched by lemon and peony.
Symphonie-Passion recalls the smell Filippo Sorcinelli encountered while setting an organ in motion in Rouen. The house explains that Marcel Dupré, the organist and composer, had also played the instrument. Musical memory and the texture of wood meet in this extrait de parfum.
Sandalwood, musk and cedar form the subject; Cashmeran and vetiver the counter-subject; lemon and peony the tail. Drier cedar and vetiver meet the softer texture of sandalwood and musk. Brighter lemon and lighter peony give the woods a fresher expression.
Consider it when calmer wood should also feel bright, with sweetness taking a smaller role. The clear rectangular 100mL bottle carries black decoration across its lower body that fades upwards. The wood-grained cap moves from black to a paler tone, echoing the contrast on the body.
