AMBROSIVS

AMBROSIVS takes Milan’s patron Saint Ambrose and the rites and processions of his 7 December feast as its inspiration. Created for the city’s container_zerouno store, the extrait de parfum brings incense, herbs, wood and sweeter resin together with an image of urban smoke.

Elemi, lemon, grapefruit, incense, juniper, rosemary, artemisia and absinthe form the subject; cedarwood, cyclamen, cloves and birch the counter-subject; vanilla, tonka, sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver, cistus and amber the tail. Brighter citrus and herbs meet flowers and spice, sweeter resins and drier wood.

It suggests the outline of herbs and incense alongside sweeter wood. The 100mL bottle shows a basilica façade on its front, with silver-patterned fabric spreading from the cap like a mantle. A gold-coloured circular fastening with a dark central stone brings together the design, including the fabric’s extended hems.
