Elemi is a fresh, spicy resin note associated with gum resin from Canarium trees. Unlike heavier resins, it carries a bright lemony lift, peppery sparkle, pine-like freshness, balsamic warmth, and a faint incense nuance.

Scent Profile

The profile is fresh, lemony, peppery, terpenic, resinous, and lightly woody. It is less solemn than frankincense or myrrh, and its charm lies in the transparent space between citrus brightness and resin depth.

Elemi works from the opening into the heart with bergamot, lemon, pink pepper, cedar, incense, amber, woods, aromatic herbs, and spices. It can give citrus more body and make resinous structures feel cleaner and more mobile.
