Aliksir

Franck Salzwedel traces Aliksir to a scene in his room: his cat Léo crossing a Matisse drawing of Orpheus while Ravel played. He wanted to rethink amber and capture twilight on the edge of dreams. Perfumer Philippine Courtière imagined amber laboratory flasks, with oud illuminated by oregano and mandarin. Italian mandarin, Madagascan ginger and Philippine elemi form the opening. Bangladeshi oud and Turkish oregano meet exotic woods and De Laire suede in the heart. Patchouli, Virginia cedar, vanilla and cypriol make up the base. The synthetically recreated suede brings a warm, smoky impression reminiscent of embers and tobacco alongside the woods and resinous character. Aliksir was released in 2025 as an Extrait de Parfum with a stated concentration of 20%.
