Glorious
Raspberry, pineapple and apple meet softer spices around rose and jasmine. Inspired by English orchards, Glorious sets its fuller fruits against moss, warm woods and a gentler touch of vanilla.
Perfumer: Christian Provenzano
Glorious imagines an English orchard through ripe fruit, blossom and the quieter cool of shade. Created by Christian Provenzano and introduced in 2012, this fruity woody fragrance combines the brightness of raspberry and apple with the more grounded texture of moss and woods. Its inspiration includes overgrown fruit trees, dew on grass and blossoms falling towards the ground. Peach and ripe plum extend the fuller fruit impression, giving the scene a more leisurely mood than a simple burst of sweetness.
Pineapple, raspberry, apple and cassis open the composition, with cardamom adding a fresher spicy outline. Jasmine and rose form the floral heart, accompanied by rounded nutmeg and the resinous character of elemi. Amber and musk meet cedarwood, sandalwood and guaiacwood in the base. Patchouli and moss provide a more earthy, green depth beneath that warmth. Vanilla softens the connections between the different woods and the brighter fruit, allowing both aspects to remain part of the overall character.
Consider it for an unhurried afternoon in a relaxed shirt or a lighter knit, when cheerful fruit feels welcome beside a calmer woody atmosphere. The 100mL bottle uses rounded clear glass and a prominent circular shield decorated with Celtic patterns. Neutral reflections catch across its cap and ornament, while a thick glass foot supports the curved body. The substantial presentation gives a more formal frame to the softer orchard scene, keeping the design closely connected to Boadicea the Victorious's established bottle shape.
