Lacrima is a resinous, spicy woody chypre that turns the idea of tears into a solemn yet uplifting incense-like aura, opening with pricking pink pepper and bright elemi before deepening into smoked woods, warm benzoin and a quietly animalic mossy base.

Who It Is For and When to Wear It

Lacrima wears as a relatively linear, meditative resinous-spicy wood, starting with a brief sparkle of pepper and aldehydic lift before settling into warm benzoin, woods and moss that feel contemplative rather than overtly animalic. It suits cool to mild weather, introspective moods and dressed-up occasions, and can be worn by anyone who enjoys solemn incense-style woods with moderate presence. Best suited to autumn and winter, when its resinous spices and mossy woods feel comforting and contemplative; in spring it works in cooler, overcast conditions, while it may be heavy for very hot summer days.
