Lannosea
Saline lemon confit and sweet dates meet flowers and coffee, moving into leather and smoky woods.
Perfumer: Céline Herbette
Lannosea is named for one of Queen Boadicea's daughters. Perfumer Céline Herbette developed a contrast between the brightness of lemon confit and elderflower and the deeper character of coffee, dates and smokewood.
The opening combines bergamot, pink pepper, rum, lemon confit and Kholas dates. The lemon confit accord brings together a sherbet-like sharpness and an airy sea-salt impression. A buttery, caramel-like sweetness from the date note gives it a richer setting, with a resinous elemi expression alongside.
Balsam fir, orange blossom, elderflower, litsea cubeba and coffee form the heart. Floral brightness meets a grassy, lemongrass-like character and the deeper impression of roasted coffee, continuing the exchange between luminous and darker materials.
Leather, cedarwood, guaiacwood, labdanum, Smokewood Fusion and Oakwood Fusion form the listed base. Wood, resin and smoke provide a substantial surrounding texture for the brighter citrus and fruit. The composition develops through these contrasts, giving the sweeter and more radiant notes a deeper, tactile setting.
