Bleu Abysse
Rose meets mineral and seaweed impressions, with oud, vetiver and incense adding darker depth.

Bleu Abysse places a dry rose within the depth of a blue sea. Serge de Oliveira composed this eau de parfum in 2019, taking Rosa moschata as its floral inspiration. Marine space and darker woody, resinous shades give the rose a deeper, clearer character around its softer petals.
Bergamot, elemi and blackcurrant add citrus, resin and tart fruit to the opening. Rose and a mineral accord contrast softer petals with a harder texture. Oud, patchouli, vetiver, seaweeds and incense carry the flowers into deeper woods and marine shades, keeping the finish relatively dry.
The selected 100mL flacon gives the composition a tangible presence. Its coloured bottle has a restrained cylindrical cap and an R monogram on its front. Blue or dark clothing suits the composition. It is a fitting choice for rose with the more grounded character of woods and an unusual marine setting.
