1740
Bergamot and davana open with a bitter-fruity edge, then patchouli and cardamom turn earthy and spiced. Labdanum, leather and vanilla close it in a dense, sweet wood.

1740 is a spicy woody scent that paints the libertine mood of the eighteenth century in leather and davana. The house frames it as a perfume where leather and davana explore the scandalous liberties of the Century of Lights. It chooses weight and seduction over lightness.
Bergamot and davana open the composition. Davana gives an aroma that sits between herb and fruit, bitter and sweet at once. The citrus brightness leads into patchouli, coriander and cardamom, whose earthy, spiced bitterness contrasts with the sweeter elements.
Cedar and birch form the wood at the base, joined by labdanum resin and leather. Labdanum brings a honeyed density, and vanilla with immortelle adds a sweet resin that soaks into dry hide. Elemi holds the whole structure with its own resinous weight.
Wear it on a cold evening, with a leather jacket or dark clothing, where its heaviness settles naturally. An unhurried setting offers a chance to explore the differences between aromatic herbs, leather and the sweeter balsamic resins.
