Golden Ember
A woody perfume oil of saffron and guaiac wood, moving from cardamom through rose and dark cacao into smoky birch and tonka.
Golden Ember is named for the warmth left once a flame has passed. PAÑPURI describes it as an afterglow that remains once the flame is gone, and the composition moves from bright spice into smoky wood.
Cardamom and bergamot form a brief, cool opening before saffron takes over the heart. Hand-harvested in India, the saffron has a honeyed, dry warmth that the brand likens to a golden whisper. Rose adds a floral layer, elemi a bright resin, and dark cacao a bitter, cocoa-like depth.
Guaiac wood anchors the base. Once called the wood of life, this Paraguayan heartwood has a soft smoke edged with something floral, which birch pushes further toward smoke. Cedarwood gives dry structure, while musk and tonka beans soften the finish with a rounded, gently sweet warmth.
The oil is alcohol-free at a 25 to 30 percent fragrance concentration, and it comes in a faceted bottle modelled on a Thai pagoda of ancient Siam.
