Capua
Elemi, bergamot and cypress lead to smoky cedar and incense, with cumin, cypriol and vetiver adding warmth and depth to drier woods.
Perfumer: Christian Provenzano
Capua moves from brighter citrus towards the warmth of smoky wood. Created by Christian Provenzano and introduced in 2020, it places cedar at the centre, exploring a drier texture with greater depth from incense and spice. Its character changes through the contrast between a more lively entrance and the darker, warmer woods that follow.
Elemi, Sicilian bergamot, cypress and Madagascan tagetes introduce cedar, Egyptian cumin and Indian cypriol. A crackling, drier impression of wood meets incense and the warmth of cumin. Another appearance of cedar in the base joins Indonesian vetiver, amber and cashmere wood, giving the woody outline a softer setting without losing its clearer, drier character.
Consider it for an evening with a woody emphasis or an outing when warmer spice appeals. The 100mL bottle combines dark smoked glass with a rose-gold-coloured cap and shoulders. Its black circular medallion bears the eagle and fragrance name, while the thicker glass below continues the darker colour of the bottle.
