LOST IN THE CROWD
A herbal-woody-floral eau de parfum inspired by the restless mood of a crowded city spring. It opens with bergamot and lemon, passes through lavender, elemi and nutmeg, and settles into patchouli and cedarwood.
LOST IN THE CROWD takes its cue from a spring midday in the city: streets filling with people, trees thrashing in gusts of wind, dust in the air, and a restless, heavy mood that is hard to name. Athletia classes it as Herbal – Woody – Floral.
The fragrance opens with bright bergamot and lemon, then moves to a middle of lavender and geranium. Elemi and nutmeg keep the flowers from turning simply pretty; the resin's cool lift and the dry spice's small sting pull the heart in a herbal direction.
Patchouli and cedarwood form the last stage, a slightly rough woody-amber layer that keeps some of that heavy spring air while settling into something natural and calm.
For this eau de parfum, natural botanical essential oils make up more than 90% of the fragrance materials, and 1-dodecanol, a component of human scent, is used as a key component of the scent. The green bottle, stood upside down on an FSC-certified paper stand, gives shape to the idea of a steady core.
