The Mariner’s Rhyme
Citrus, metallic and salty impressions evoke a stormy sea, deepened by iris and incense.
Perfumer: Francesca Bianchi
Coleridge’s sea imagery and music by King Crimson helped shape The Mariner’s Rhyme. Bianchi combines the clarity of cold wind with the darker weight of the sea.
Bergamot and grapefruit meet ozonic and metallic aldehydic impressions. Orange blossom appears beside powdery iris, while ambergris brings a salty character. Oakmoss, elemi and incense add depth around that contrast, giving the marine idea a more structured, shadowed expression.
