The Ground Remembers is built around hinoki and labdanum. PAÑPURI presents hinoki as a wood long honoured in Japanese ritual and temple craft, wild-harvested and steam-distilled in Japan; labdanum is an ancient resin once prized in Egyptian and Greek rites, harvested in Spain and extracted in France.
The way in, though, is herbal. Organic rosemary, lemon and bergamot open with green aromatic sharpness and citrus tang, leading to a heart of elemi and sweet basil, where elemi's bright resin and basil's sweet greenness bridge herb and wood.
In the base, the clean wood of hinoki meets labdanum's warm, ambery depth, the soft wood of amyris and a light lift of pink pepper. The brand's imagery is air heavy with earth and rain, still and rooted.
This is a Care Eau de Parfum: water-based and alcohol-free, meant for pulse points but also suggested as a hair or body mist. It offers a light, skin-close way to wear a herbal opening and a deep resinous base.
