Tubéreuse Nuit Blanche
A bright, spicy opening of ginger, rhubarb and elemi gives way to tuberose wrapped in white jasmine and tiaré. White musk, vanilla and sandalwood settle into a warm, velvety base beneath the flower.
Tubéreuse Nuit Blanche wraps the heaviness of night-blooming tuberose in bright spice and soft musk. The house calls its central flower a "Super Diva" — stubborn, demanding, temperamental, yet natural and sophisticated, balanced between modesty and pride.
The opening is ginger and rhubarb, tart and vivid, with the resinous shine of elemi. Rather than leading with the weight of the flower, the fragrance draws its outline first. Tuberose arrives next, joined by white jasmine, tiaré and clove — less a bouquet than a scent curling through night air, dense and spiraling.
Beneath it lie white musk, sandalwood and vanilla, holding the weight of the flower. The house also mentions orange blossom, saffron, ambroxan, caramel and precious woods, so the overall arc tilts toward something sweet and warm.
According to the brand, tuberose arrived from Mexico in the sixteenth century and was said to possess intoxicating and erotic powers; young women were forbidden from strolling through gardens where tuberoses bloomed at night. In India, like jasmine, it is known as the flower of love and adorns the bedrooms of newlyweds. This is not a demure floral.
Wear it for evening or cooler hours. Start with a small application and follow the balance between the dense flower, warm sweetness and softer musk. Its richness suggests autumn and winter evenings.
