TWILIGHT HUES
A chypre-spicy eau de parfum inspired by the nostalgia of an autumn dusk farewell. It moves from grapefruit and pink pepper through osmanthus to patchouli, vetiver and moss.
TWILIGHT HUES is set at the end of a slightly chilly autumn day, at the moment of parting and the walk home along a street turned deep red by the setting sun. Its theme is nostalgia: warm memories and sudden sadness arriving together, along with the affection of cheering on someone as they walk away. Athletia describes the family as Chypre – Spicy.
Fresh grapefruit and spicy pink pepper start things brightly, standing for the glint of a modern city in that red evening light.
Osmanthus sits at the middle, treated as classic, delicate and refined, and meant to recall dry leaves blown by the wind. Ylang-ylang and other sweet florals add a flutter of excitement alongside the nostalgia.
The finish turns smoky with patchouli, vetiver and moss, which gently close around the brighter opening. Here too, natural botanical essential oils account for more than 90% of the fragrance materials, and 1-dodecanol, a component of human scent, serves as a key ingredient.
