Notre Dame Notte di Natale
Sacristy drawers in a Paris cathedral inspire two cedarwoods with chocolate, cinnamon and incense.
Perfumer: Filippo Sorcinelli
Notre Dame Notte di Natale draws on memories of visiting a Paris cathedral’s sacristy. Its drawers hold incense mixtures that change with occasions in the liturgical year. The memory of wood and incense meets two cedarwoods and a warmer sweetness in this composition.
Virginia cedarwood forms the subject; orange blossom, a chocolate note, Alaska cedarwood and cinnamon the counter-subject; tonka, resinoid incense and amber the tail. Flowers, chocolate and warmer spice sit beside the drier outline of wood, bringing several textures to the incense theme.
Consider it for wood and incense with the rounded impression of sweetness and spice. The cylindrical 100mL bottle carries black-and-gold ornament and a label bearing the fragrance name. A large gold-coloured hand forms the cap, with two raised fingers preserved as part of the complete sculptural object.
