Nemer
A tiger-and-Tiger-Oud theme, with saffron, roses, earthy cypriol and warm woods and resins.
Perfumer: Christian Provenzano
Nemer takes the tiger and Tiger Oud as its themes. The brand describes the oud as full-bodied, smooth and deeply aromatic, pairing that dense woody character with saffron, roses and the earthy, inky character of cypriol.
The top pairs saffron, lemongrass, black pepper and ylang-ylang. Saffron's dry warmth and the bite of pepper are cut by the green, citrusy edge of lemongrass, while ylang-ylang adds a little floral sweetness. The heart turns to Moroccan rose and Turkish rose, which the brand pictures as roses blooming like a red night.
The base layers sandalwood, cedarwood and cashmere wood with patchouli, moss, amber, vanilla and musk. Its key element is English cypriol oil, which the brand calls earthy, inky and tawny, evoking claws and fur in keeping with the tiger theme. It gives the roses a deeper, inky and earthy shading before the warm finish.
