Spring in Bome

A green, woody floral that imagines spring arriving in Bome, a valley in Tibet. Damp moss and cool galbanum open onto peach blossom, iris and tuberose, while jatamansi and vetiver give the scent a warm, earthy floor.

スプリング イン ボメ 50mL ボトル

Tibet often brings to mind high altitude, cold air and open space. Bome, a small town hidden in a lush valley, shows another side of it. In March and April the moss in the ancient forests begins to wake, releasing a fresh, vital smell into the damp morning mist. Spring in Bome approaches the season from that waking ground.

Galbanum, tarragon and lentisque open with a green bite close to cut grass, touched by a faint resinous stickiness that suggests cold fog. Hedychium softens the edge with a white floral note, keeping the green from turning sharp.

Peach blossom then opens in the heart. Its sweetness reads as petals rather than fruit, and geranium leaf keeps the outline crisp. Tuberose stays restrained, layered with the dry powder of iris so the flowers feel dense rather than loud.

Vetiver, papyrus and moss form the base, joined by jatamansi, the Himalayan nard root that carries a warm, earthy, bark-like tone. It anchors the green upper half and pulls the scent back toward the soil.

Wear it on an early spring morning. Try a small amount on skin to explore the meeting of green bitterness and softer flowers. More than a sweet bouquet, this is the smell of a wet forest floor remembering spring.
