La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu
Fresher fig and blackcurrant meet fuller French iris pallida, with jasmine and Bali patchouli adding floral and woody depth.
Perfumer: Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo
La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu gives the collection’s iris a fuller expression. Created jointly by Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion, this 2023 eau de parfum draws on Mediterranean scents and the gardens at Domaine de la Rose in Grasse. The perfumers wanted a more natural feeling, with fig-tree smells and greener impressions suggesting wild herbs. French-grown iris pallida meets fresher fig and blackcurrant, supported by Bali patchouli, outlining a richer interpretation of the iris signature.
Fig and blackcurrant accords create a brighter, juicier opening with greener detail. Iris pallida concrete takes the centre, emphasising a softer powdery texture and fuller floral depth. Sambac jasmine also contributes floral character, while Bali patchouli essence adds earthier, woodier depth in the base. Fresher fruit is received by smoother powdery flowers and patchouli, for someone who wants richer iris texture beside greener fruit accents within a sweeter floral composition.
Try it with a softer shirt or knitwear when you want iris to lead a powderier floral outfit, supported by brighter fruit. The selected 50mL clear bottle has concentric sculpted curves repeating the crystal smile. Warmer pink colour shows different depths through these curves above the clearer base. A sparkling pink collar and ribbon beneath a square transparent cap complement the layered glass design.
