Velvet Plum
Inspired by suede and cashmere, Cashmeran meets powdery orris, richer tuberose and softer osmanthus, with gentler sweetness around the flowers and wood.

Velvet Plum imagines the feel of a soft suede jacket and a plum-coloured cashmere shawl. Created by Valérie Garnuch-Mentzel and introduced in 2019, the eau de parfum uses the musky and sun-warmed woody facets of Cashmeran to connect those tactile ideas with fragrance. Flowers and a more powdery softness give the composition another relationship between a richer texture and a gentler touch.
Mandarin essence and pink pepper bring brightness and a more defined spicy edge. Orris and tuberose absolute form the heart, while patchouli and Cashmeran support the base. The sweeter character of heliotrope and the apricot-like floral expression of osmanthus add further softness between the powdery flowers and smoother wood. Despite its fruit-related name, the creative direction centres more on flowers, wood and the tactile qualities of fabric.
Try it with a softer knit on a cooler day or during an evening spent in quieter light. The 100mL bottle combines stepped glass in a pale purple-brown tone with a white cylindrical cap and a gold-toned neck. Bright yellow cord and a small metal ornament hang at the side, providing a more vivid accent around its softer colours.
