Tanagra
Bright mandarin and pear lead into soft peony and orris, then settle on cedar and musk. It is a floral shaped more by texture than by abundance.
Perfumer: Nathalie Lorson
Tanagra is built less around a parade of flowers than around texture: the brand likens it to a soft cashmere veil resting on the skin. It opens with the bright peel of mandarin and the juicy sweetness of pear, while freesia adds a light, airy floral touch. In the heart, peony brings rounded, petal-like softness. Orris lends a cool, powdery tone, and jasmine adds a gentle sweetness, keeping the floral layer translucent rather than heavy. The base turns to cedar, which gives the composition its frame, supported by the dry, earthy edge of vetiver and the smooth hush of musk. The brand pictures airy flowers held in place by a wooden structure. It suits days when you want a floral that feels soft and composed rather than showy. A light application at the neck shows the contrast between yielding petals and firm wood.
