Perles de Lalique
Inspired by the 1928 Cactus powder box, rose and orris meet pepper, patchouli and softer cashmere wood.
Perfumer: Nathalie Lorson
Perles de Lalique is a chypre eau de parfum inspired by the Cactus powder box created by René Lalique in 1928. Floral softness meets spice and wood in a fragrance whose name evokes pearls. Bulgarian rose, Bourbon pepper from Réunion and the depth of patchouli are connected by a cashmere wood accord.
Bulgarian rose and orris form the top notes, Bourbon pepper and patchouli follow at the heart, and cashmere wood and tonka beans complete the base. Softer petal and powder impressions meet a drier peppery edge and the earthy, woody depth of patchouli. Gentler wood and the rounded character of tonka add another texture to the floral and spicy composition.
Consider it when you want rose with powder and spice alongside its softer qualities. The tall 100mL bottle combines white glass, a rectangular white cap and a silver-coloured band at the neck. Rows of black dots border its shoulders and sides, framing the black name on its face. Small details give the otherwise restrained white bottle its character.
