Lunatique is a **woody oriental leather** composition that moves from bright, spicy-fruity tension into a velvety, animalic shadow. It opens with a vibrant mix of juniper, pear and Sichuan pepper, lifted by marigold, pink berries and neroli for a green-floral sparkle. The heart weaves incense, blackcurrant, ginger, carrot and iris with cyclamen and neroli, creating a luminous yet earthy floral core that oscillates between crisp and soft. As it settles, a plush base of leather, oud, sandalwood, musk, vetiver, ambergris and tonka bean emerges, giving a nocturnal, slightly animalic trail that feels both mystical and intimate.
Who It Is For and When to Wear It
On skin, Lunatique starts with a lively, almost shimmering burst of peppered juniper and pear, quickly veiled by green-floral marigold and neroli. The mid-development feels like walking from moonlit brightness into shadow: incense and blackcurrant add depth, while ginger, carrot and iris lend a textured, slightly powdery earthiness over a soft cyclamen and neroli glow. In the drydown, leather and oud become more prominent but remain smooth rather than harsh, cushioned by sandalwood, musk, vetiver, ambergris and tonka bean for a long, sensual and quietly animalic trail suited to contemplative evenings or dressed-up nights.
