Santal Calling
Milky notes and iris meet the smoother warmth of sandalwood and vanilla.
Perfumer: Antoine Maisondieu
Santal Calling was created by Antoine Maisondieu and introduced in 2022. His exploration of Australian-grown sandalwood album connects contemporary Parisian influences with a more mystical image of the material. Flowers and spice sit within that theme of smoother, warmer wood, giving its texture several different expressions.
A milky accord and nutmeg lead into iris, rose and Cashmeran. Sandalwood, vanilla and musk form the base. A softer milk-like character and more powdery floral texture meet smoother wood and gentler sweetness, creating a rounded relationship between the chosen materials.
Consider it with softer fabrics when warmer wood suits the occasion. This is a composition-based suggestion. The illustrated 100mL Eau de Parfum has clear rectangular glass, a pale liquid, a patterned gold-coloured cap and a white label bearing the fragrance name.
