Sécrétions Magnifiques
A notorious conceptual fragrance that collides icy, salty marine sharpness with milky, blood-like accords, creating an intensely carnal, bodily impression. Underneath, sandalwood, iris and opoponax smooth the edges without ever fully taming its metallic, animalic tension.
Scent Development and Character
On skin it opens with a bracing, almost clinical rush of salty marine notes and aldehydic glare, metallic and chilled rather than breezy. Quickly, thick milky and blood-like accords rise up, evoking coppery warmth, skin, and bodily intimacy, threaded with an adrenaline-charged tension. As it settles, sandalwood, iris and opoponax lend a smoother, slightly powdery and resinous undertone, but the impression remains disturbingly carnal, oscillating between cool aquatic sharpness and creamy, animalic density.
Who It Is For and When to Wear It
This Eau de Parfum wears close to the skin but feels intense and intimate, so a light application is advised, particularly around others sensitive to challenging scents. Its provocative, bodily character suits experimental, artistic or night-time contexts more than professional or formal daytime wear, and it rewards patient, curious exploration on clean skin. Most at home in cool spring and autumn weather, where its marine sharpness and creamy animalic facets feel vivid but not oppressive; it can work on winter evenings, while high-heat summer wear may make its bodily accords feel more challenging. Sillage is Projection tends to be moderate: noticeable within arm’s length and particularly intense in the first hours, then settling into a close but persistent aura. Longevity is Moderate longevity around 6 hours on skin, sometimes extending a little longer depending on skin chemistry and application, but generally not a heavy, all-day powerhouse.
