Sel de Vétiver

A salty, mineral vetiver that fuses bitter grapefruit and cool cardamom with green Haitian vetiver, geranium and lovage, drying down to a quiet accord of sea salt, iris and ylang‑ylang reminiscent of sun‑warmed, salt‑dusted skin.

Scent Development and Character

A dry, mineral vetiver built around the contrast between salted skin and earthy roots. It opens with brisk, slightly bitter grapefruit and cool cardamom, then moves into a green, herbal heart where Haitian vetiver, geranium, lovage and a discreet patchouli trace suggest wet earth and stems. As it settles, a subtle sea‑salt accord and iris create the feel of sun‑warmed skin after a swim, with ylang‑ylang softening the edges without turning the fragrance sweet.

Who It Is For and When to Wear It

Moderate in strength and relatively quiet in diffusion, it works well in professional or close‑contact settings, offering a refined, understated presence rather than a bold statement. Its dry, salty freshness also makes it suitable for casual daytime wear in mild to warm weather. Best suited to spring and summer, with enough dryness and earthiness to work in mild autumn weather; less ideal for very cold conditions. Sillage is Soft to moderate sillage, generally staying within arm’s length and forming a subtle aura rather than a broad trail. Longevity is Moderate longevity; expect around 4–6 hours on skin depending on application and conditions.
