Vendomania Eau de Parfum

Vendomania Eau de Parfum takes Place Vendome in Paris as the setting for praline, saffron and iris. Created by Jordi Fernández for Selfridges and introduced in 2020, the fragrance draws on the square and the jewellery houses around EX NIHILO’s Paris store. Softer flowers and confection-like sweetness meet the deeper woody character of sandalwood, patchouli and oud. It suits someone who enjoys gourmand sweetness with a more composed, powder-like iris texture.

Bergamot and saffron open with brighter citrus and a drier, warmer spicy outline. Jasmine and iris meet praline in the heart, connecting fuller flowers and a softer powder-like texture with confectionery sweetness. Patchouli, oud and sandalwood form the base, adding earthier depth and smoother woody warmth. The structure moves from saffron’s clearer outline toward the softer fullness of iris and praline, with quieter woods surrounding the more decorative floral character. Flowers, sweetness and deeper wood translate the composed, luxurious setting of Place Vendome into olfactory texture.

Try it for a day at a museum in a more considered outfit, or an evening meal. A deeper navy jacket or a dress in smoother fabric can meet its iris and woods. The selected 100mL bottle holds a pale golden liquid in clear rectangular glass. A gold-toned cap with a finer lattice-like pattern matches a front label with gold framing and the fragrance name. Transparent shoulders and a thicker glass base support its composed outline. The quieter gold details give the praline sweetness, flowers and warmer woods a fitting visual setting.
