Amour Sans Détour means love without a detour, and the fragrance goes straight to its pairing: violet and leather, set in the private boudoir of a Roman palace.
Basil and the heart of Calabrian bergamot open it on a green, sunny note. In the heart, the violet accord, floral, powdery and velvety, sits among angelica root oil, Indian jasmine grandiflorum superinfusion, rose heart absolute and an iris accord.
The leather accord leads the base, raw rather than polished, joined by ambrette seed absolute, two patchoulis, Madagascar Bourbon vanilla and a trio of musks. Flower and hide stay in view together right to the end.
