Mystic Road
Taking its cue from Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken," Mystic Road moves from a brief bergamot-raspberry opening into rose and iris placed at a slight distance, then settles into a deep woody base of sandalwood, patchouli, musk and vanilla.
Named after Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken," Mystic Road draws on the hush of standing at a divide and wondering about the path you did not choose. The scent treats that moment of mystery as its guiding image.
The opening is brief. Bergamot gives a slightly bitter, lit-from-within citrus edge, and raspberry adds the shortest flicker of red sweetness before both step back and let the heart emerge.
At the center, rose and iris are placed at a slight distance rather than pressed close to the face. The powdery dryness of iris calms the sheen of rose, so the floral feels still and composed rather than lush.
Sandalwood, patchouli, musk and vanilla settle low beneath them, layering woody softness with musk and sweetness. The result is a deep, forest-like depth that contrasts with the bright opening.
