Opus V – Woods Symphony

A quiet yet intricate iris–rum woody floral where cool, powdery orris and soft florals glide into a dry, pale-oud and civet-laced woods accord, evoking polished libraries more than loud animalics.

Scent Development and Character

A polished woody-floral built around refined iris and a gentle boozy sheen, Opus V – Woods Symphony opens with cool, powdery orris brightened by a smooth rum accord. As it develops, the orris becomes richer and more velvety, wrapped in soft rose and luminous jasmine that lend a discreet floral glow. The drydown turns drier and more textured, layering pale oud and a dry woods accord with a subtle animalic hum of civet, creating a quiet but complex wood symphony that feels more like fine paper and polished desks than dense resin or smoke.

Who It Is For and When to Wear It

Best suited to thoughtful, intimate settings, Opus V – Woods Symphony wears like a refined veil rather than a statement cloud. Its moderate projection and long, steady drydown make it ideal for quiet workdays, libraries, galleries, and evening conversations where you want a sophisticated presence without overwhelming others. The cool iris and dry woods lean slightly formal and intellectual, but the gentle rum and soft florals keep it warm enough for day-to-night transitions, especially in mild to cool weather. Best in autumn and winter, when the powdery iris, rum and dry woods feel especially at home, but still wearable in cooler spring days; it can be heavy in heat, so it suits milder evenings rather than hot summer afternoons. Sillage is Moderate to moderately strong; it forms a distinct but measured aura around the wearer rather than a very loud trail, tightening to a closer veil as it dries down. Longevity is Long-lasting, with the iris–wood structure typically remaining noticeable on skin for most of a workday and traces lingering into the evening, especially on fabric. These are editorial estimates derived from the official composition and concentration and will vary with skin and climate.
