Wood Infusion

Wood Infusion takes its inspiration from the forests of K’gari, formerly Fraser Island, off Queensland. Australian woods provide its central theme, brought together with citrus, aromatic herbs and the powdery character of orris. The landscape of the island gives these different materials a shared setting.

Sweet orange and bergamot bring brightness, accompanied by Australian lavender and clary sage absolute. Their green, herbal character meets the soft, powder-like texture of Italian orris, giving the composition several different expressions of freshness and warmth.

Agarwood adds depth to the woody centre, while Sandalwood Album brings a smooth texture. Indonesian patchouli contributes an earthy quality, and amber and musk surround the woods with warmth and softness. Green plants, dry roots, powdery orris and creamy woods are brought into the same composition.

Hamid Merati-Kashani composed Wood Infusion under creative director Dimitri Weber. The brand states a concentration of 20%, presenting the fragrance as an exploration of the richness of the island’s woodlands.
