Black Musk evokes the trail of a prince crossing Eastern lands through spice, leather and musk. Montale pictures the bite of black pepper and nutmeg joined by wood and deeper materials.
Black pepper, nutmeg, clove and saffron introduce drier spice with warmth. Orris, patchouli and leather bring softer powdery texture into contact with earthier and leathery shading. Musk, guaiacwood, sandalwood and amber leave a foundation of skin-like smoothness and calmer, warmer wood.
In contrast to its name, the silver 50mL aluminium bottle carries a silver spray and charm. It offers musk with fuller spice and leather for a quieter evening.
